This years’ interns were exposed to a wide range of manufacturing operations, from hands-on operations to design engineering. Gaining experience at FSI will help students focus their education and interests as well as help build a resume.
This summer we had two interns, both of which are specifically targeting careers in manufacturing. Mark Vlah (Penn State) and Jack Broadman (Penn State)
These students were involved in reverse Engineering, Assembly, Hydrostatic testing, and Inspection.
Although theoretical knowledge must be learned and understood, the heart of mechanical engineering is in the hands-on application of learned principles in the real world. This is where internships become particularly valuable.
Both the Company and the Interns gained benefits for the time spent this summer.
Thank you Jack and Mark!
